Alexandra Baudricourt is vastberaden om de “Chêne Courbe”, een uitgestrekt wijndomein in het hart van de Médoc, terug in handen te nemen maar voelt zich snel klemgezet. Enerzijds is er de vijandigheid van haar naaste omgeving, anderzijds weet ze dat, indien ze wil slagen, ze nog alles zal moeten leren daar de productie van een grand cru geen improvisatie toelaat.
