Ze plunderen een abdij die wonderlijke kunstvoorwerpen bewaart. De held wordt meegevoerd naar Bayeux, dat door de vijand wordt bezet. Hij ontdekt er een prachtig tapijt dat de kathedraal opluistert en alle verhalen en complotten dat het vertelt. Maar de avonturen blijven niet alleen gevangen in dat roemrijke verleden.
